MUMBAI, Feb 05 Gold Trading prices after making an intermediate high at USD 1763 and corrected to close the day at USD 1725 on Friday as US economy added more jobs in January than forecast.

Selling pressure gathered momentum after gold in New York slumped the most in five weeks as the US economy added more jobs in January than forecast, signaling economic growth that may reduce the need for the Federal Reserve to expand stimulus measures.

Gold in global markets, which normally set price trend on the domestic front, recorded a sharp fall of 32.50 dollar to 1725.90 dollar an ounce and silver lost 2.01 per cent to 33.67 dollar an ounce in New York last night.

On the India domestic front, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity tumbled by Rs 600 each to Rs 28,040 and Rs 27,900 per ten grams respectively. Sovereign shed Rs 50 to Rs 23,350 per piece of eight gram.

Gold Technical View : As enumerated in the last post and informed gold rally is maturing and should find resistance at USD 1750 1765 levels. Gold Trading price rallies the most from Intermediate bottom at USD 1522

MUMBAI, Feb 01 Gold Trading prices traded flat on Tuesday, but the precious metal is heading for its biggest monthly rise since August on global economic unease and the US Federal Reserve’s long-term outlook for near-zero interest rates.

Bullion erased initial gains as the euro dropped amid renewed Greek debt concerns and as US equities fell on disappointing consumer confidence, Midwest business activity and falling home prices.

Gold is up 10.5 per cent in January, as a lack of progress in resolving the European debt crisis pulled in investor. Also, supportive was the Fed saying last week it was ready to offer the economy extra stimulus and would likely keep rates near zero until at least late 2014

Gold Trades higher – Safe-Haven Buying Surfaces

MUMBAI, Jan 06 - Gold Trade prices ended the U.S. day session higher and near the daily high after trading on both sides of unchanged in choppy price action. There has been fresh safe-haven investment demand for gold surface this week, amid fresh tensions between the U.S. and Iran, and amid the ongoing European Union sovereign debt crisis. The gold market held its own Thursday despite a sharp rise in the U.S. dollar index. February gold last traded up $11.10 at $1,623.80 an ounce. Spot gold was last quoted up $10.60 an ounce at $1,623.75. March Comex silver last traded up $0.273 at $29.37 an ounce.

The U.S. dollar index traded solidly higher Thursday, which did somewhat limit the upsie in gold the precious metals. The dollar index bulls have the solid overall near-term technical advantage, which has been a bearish underlying factor for the precious metals. The dollar index has been and likely will continue to be a major “outside market” force for the precious metals. Remember, however, that if a geopolitical development heats up markedly and unexpectedly, both gold and the U.S. dollar can appreciate at the same time—such as was the case Thursday.

Gold Trading Prices benefits from euro strength and Oil tensions in Iran

MUMBAI, Jan 03 - Gold Trading Price traded higher nearly by 2 percent on Tuesday, fuelled by a recovery in the euro against the dollar, after the bullion price neared six-month lows last week in a flurry of year-end selling.

We see Trading Top for Gold to be in place around USD1609. In case it crosses USD 1609 then we see resistance coming at USD1617 USD 1625 levels.

Mounting tensions between Iran and the United States over a possible disruption to oil supply boosted crude oil futures but did little to elicit any safe-haven buying of gold, which remains tightly tethered to the ebb and flow of the euro.

Gold’s correlation with the euro/dollar exchange rate is at its most positive in nearly two years, meaning the bullion price is more likely to move in lockstep with the euro than at any other time since January 2010.

MUMBAI, Jan 03 Crude Oil Price edged above $102.97 a barrel on Tuesday as tension between Iran and the United States stirred fear of a possible disruption to oil supplies from the West Asia and as Chinese data showed economic activity increasing.

Oil was one of the best performing assets in 2011, with North Sea Brent posting an annual gain of 13 per cent, to a record average of nearly $111 a barrel, as unrest in North Africa and the West Asia disrupted supply. The market began the new year strongly on signs of rising demand from emerging economies and supply concerns.

Military exercises in the Gulf by Iran and the movement of US naval vessels in the area has raised fears of a confrontation between Tehran and Washington that could cut off oil exports from the region.

Iran has said it could shut the Strait of Hormuz, through which 40 per cent of world oil is shipped, if sanctions were to be imposed on its crude exports.

MUMBAI, Dec 19 Crude Price Oil edged lower in volatile trading over the weekend, posting a second consecutive weekly loss as caution about Europe’s debt crisis and year-end positioning continued to spark selling into rallies.

Weak trading volume as the holiday season approaches contributed to the choppy trading and both Brent and US crude turned slightly higher in post-settlement trading.

“After the recent sell-off on the disappointing European Union summit people are going to be reluctant to go back in long at least until after the holidays,” said Phil Flynn, analyst at PFGBest Research in Chicago.

Mcx Tips | Crude Oil Price rally to 6-month Top and correction to last end Nov

MUMBAI, Nov 18- Crude oil Price futures hit a six-month top after news of the reversal of a major U.S. oil pipeline boosted hopes that a supply glut in the U.S. will be eased. We see the trading top is in place and correction to last end Nov.

It earlier rose by as much as 0.65% to trade at USD103.37 a barrel, the highest price since May 11.

Markets were caught off guard by news that Enbridge, Canada’s largest transporter of crude oil, agreed to buy a 50% stake in the Seaway Crude Pipeline that moves oil from the Gulf of Mexico to Cushing, Oklahoma, the delivery point of the benchmark NYMEX oil.

Enbridge announced it would reverse the flow of the pipeline with 50% Seaway pipeline owner and operator Enterprise Product Partners to ship oil to export terminals on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

The Seaway pipeline would transport up to 400,000 barrels of oil a day from Cushing to the Gulf by 2013, Enbridge added.

Elsewhere, on the ICE Futures Exchange, Brent oil futures for January delivery shed 0.33% to trade at USD111.52 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent and crude contracts narrowing to USD8.49 a barrel. The gap between the two contracts is well off the record high of USD27.88 a barrel it hit in mid-October.

Gold Trading – Gold Prices to test record highs

MUMBAI, Sep 05 - GOLD prices topped $US1900 a troy ounce today as worries about slowing growth and European debt whetted appetite for the metal’s perceived safe haven.

Gold for December delivery rallied $US25.90 to $US1902.80 an ounce in electronic trading on Globex. The contract had risen as high as $US1908.40 an ounce, according to data from FactSet.

Gold futures rose rapidly to touch a record $US1912.29/oz on August 23 before falling more than $US200 in the next 48 hours after US exchange operator CME Group hiked trading margins on gold futures.

Demand for bullion gained as US stock-index futures and European equities fell.

An election defeat for German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party prompted worries about whether support for helping Europe’s debt-ridden would decline.

Earlier in London, spot gold was hovering about the key $US1900 a troy ounce mark, and was expected to soon rise back toward record territory, as deepening concerns over global growth prompt investors to abandon risk assets in favor of perceived safe havens, like bullion and core government bonds.
